​Fundraiser Coordinator

Location/s: Effingham administrative office

Description: C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation is seeking a passionate and results-oriented individual to join its team and actively contribute to its mission by developing and executing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and securing critical funding to support the agency’s cause of “Helping People. Changing Lives.” Qualifications include at least three (3) years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, business, public relations, or related field preferred or certification, diploma, or similar qualifications in fundraising. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are required with the ability to develop rapport with potential donors. Must have the ability to travel throughout the C.E.F.S. service area to promote and initiate fundraising campaigns and events. C.E.F.S. Outreach Program is hiring for the following position: 

​Outreach Coordinator

Location/s: Taylorville office

Description: Are you looking for a supportive, family-oriented work environment? Do you want a position in which you can make a difference in people’s lives? C.E.F.S. is seeking an Outreach Coordinator in Christian County. Responsibilities include local office oversight and the implementation and management of C.E.F.S. programs within the county including homeless and housing assistance, emergency food and shelter, budget and housing counseling, tax filing, utility assistance, and senior health insurance counseling. This position will also link programs that the agency operates with other existing county programs and services to assure clients receive the most comprehensive assistance available. Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree required. Must be able to relate and communicate with the target population and community leaders. Hourly wage: $19.91. The base of operations is in Taylorville, IL. Benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation, flex, and sick time, paid holidays, a 403(b) tax-deferred annuity plan, and a new hire incentive up to $1,000. C.E.F.S. Head Start Program is hiring for the following positions: 

​​​​Lead Teachers

Location/s: Effingham Center

Description:  School year positions, 40 hrs./wk. M-F. A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with equivalent credit hours to a major in Early Childhood Education is required. Must hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with an early childhood education endorsement or have a Gateway ECE Credential Level 5 while pursuing a PEL. Must be at least 21. Hourly wage: $26.85.​

Classroom Aide

Location/s: Taylorville  Center

Description:  School year positions, 40 hrs./wk. M-F.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Experience working with preschool-age children preferred. Hourly wage: $15.50.​

Description:  School year position, 20 hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Hourly wage: $15.50.

Bus Monitor

Location/s: Vandalia Center

Description: School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Hourly wage: $15.50.

Health Specialist

Location/s: Effingham administrative office

Description: Full-time/full-year position. Bachelor’s degree required preferably in the field of pediatric health, nursing, health education, public health, or health administration. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and implementing operational procedures in the health component and monitoring health requirements for Early Head Start (pregnant women, infants, and toddlers) and Head Start preschool enrollees. Hourly wage: $23.15.

Parent Educator

Location/s: Litchfield and Taylorville regions

Description: Full-time, full-year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential or equivalent coursework as part of an associate or bachelor’s degree (120 clock hours with at least 10 clock hours in each of the 8 CDA component areas) and 480 hours experience working with children aged 0-3 years old and obtain a home visitor CDA within 3 months of hire. Hourly wage: $20.31.

Substitute Teacher

Location/s: Open to all service areas

Description: School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with equivalent credit hours to a major in Early Childhood Education and one year experience teaching preschool children preferred, associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with equivalent credit hours to a major in Early Childhood Education and one year experience teaching preschool children required. Must be at least 21. Hourly wage range: $22.11-$25.85.

Substitute Teacher Assistant

Location/s: Open to all service areas

Description: School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent and possess a preschool CDA or meet all requirements to submit an application to obtain a preschool CDA within 12 weeks of hire. Must be at least 19. Hourly wage: $17.03-$18.00.

Description: School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Experience working with preschool-age children preferred. Hourly wage: $15.50.

Substitute Bus Drivers

Location/s: Open to all service areas

Description: School year positions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a CDL school bus license or be able to obtain a school bus eligibility receipt from the Secretary of State driver's license facility by which to obtain a CDL school bus license. Must be at least 21. Hourly wage: $17.03.
